False Alarms

False alarms happen to every security system owner, occasionally. When they do, it is always a relief to learn there was no real emergency. But, when false alarms occur frequently, everyone involved begins to feel frustrated. To make certain that you and your family-as well as those who monitor your system and respond to the alarm calls-are all appropriately prepared, her are some ways to help reduce false alarm incidents:

Proper activation and deactivation

Give visitors through instructions

Make sure you are comfortable with your entry / exit time

Secure the premises

Test your system regularly

If a false alarm does occur, don’t panic. Enter your disarm code carefully to reset your system. Do not leave until you are certain the system is reset and, if applicable, until Security Central calls and you give them your password indicating to them how to handle the signal sent by your alarm.
